The Sepsis Trust team will be helping people to “Just Ask, Could it be Sepsis” at the National Fieldays event between 12th and 15th June 2019.

“We’re really grateful to the Waikato DHB for the chance to get the message out that sepsis (or blood poisoning due to infection) is common and preventable”, says Dr Paul Huggan, one of our trustees.

“Last year 20,000 people visited the HealthHub at Fieldays. Interestingly, that’s roughly how many people present to hospital with sepsis every year in New Zealand”.

The stall includes a hand washing competition, the chance to enter a draw for a signed Chiefs rugby jersey and the chance to meet and staff from Waikato Hospital who treat people with sepsis every day.

“We want everyone to leave Fieldays knowing that it’s OK to just ask, could it be Sepsis”?
